Hey y’all! Sorry it’s been a crazy couple of weeks. But I am settled in now and getting used to serving in the English Ward of Alabaster. The members are so sweet. We are still working with the non-members….
Sister Saatkamp (pronounced sot-camp) is from Ohio and this is her second transfer in the field. She is awesome and we get along really great. We have similar interests and our unity in teaching is the BEST. We always say what the other one is thinking!
Since she’s not an Spanish missionary, I am teaching her a Spanish word a day so she can understand the basic phrases I always say in Spanish.
There was too much that happened this week, but no time to write it all. We pretty much have no progressing investigators but that’s ok!
We are working hard and trying not to freeze as we search for the elect. I love what my amazing hermanita amiga Capri Dahle said in her email today. “Patience is faith. Patience is a way to demonstrate your faith. PMG says that “patience is the capacity to endure delay, trouble, opposition, or suffering without becoming angry, frustrated, or anxious. It is the ability to do God’s will and accept His timing. When you are patient, you hold up under pressure and are able to face adversity calmly and hopefully. Patience is related to hope and faith – you must wait for the Lord’s promised blessings to be fulfulled.” It’s not enough for me to trust God and believe in Him and lots of good things to come, but wait for those good things by working hard and never giving up..and being happy about it too 🙂
This is so true! I hope that we can all have a little more patience and faith in our lives, through the good and the bad. I am so THANKFUL for this Gospel, my Savior Jesus Christ, and my family. Be thankful for all and have a blessed week and Happy Turkey Day!!!
1- We ate at the Bakery last Monday. The members from the Spanish branch down here own it and make the most DELICIOUS food. Saatkamp is on the left. Bartlome and Fawcett are the Hermanas that live with us. It’s always a party with 4!
2- We drove to the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE to go see a less active that wasn’t home. So we took pics while we were there.
