Moving On

I’m getting transferred to a new area this week! I am sad to leave this awesome area, the members are so fun and I have made wonderful friends here. I am sad to leave the Lord’s awesome recent convert Suzy, she is so fun and I have loved every minute talking to her and helping her accept this Gospel into her life.  This past transfer we have found some pretty solid people and I am so excited for my cute baby Sister Nielsen to keep working in this area with her new companion. I’m gonna miss her! They have now completely taken out all the Spanish Sisters in this area, now it’s for the English to conquer!

   This week has been good but also a good testimony builder. We have been bashed and put down for believing what we do. We have been called ‘deceivers’ ‘liars’ and ‘ignorant to the truth’. If anybody knows me they know that I would usually lash out and get defensive about what I KNOW to be the REAL TRUTH. But I have learned that “A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still”. We have to let the spirit convert and the spirit cannot compete for attention when there is contention nearby.

    I know we as missionaries and members today do not go through the same challenges as the pioneers, persecuted and killed for their beliefs. But our awesome President Hanks told me this week that in the next 20 years it is going to be extremely difficult to be a member of Christ’s church and that I need to personally decide where I stand. My district leader Elder Sanders said that “we have ALREADY won the battle. Satan is just seeing how many casualties he can cause”.

  WE MUST STAND FOR TRUTH AND RIGHTEOUSNESS AND DON’T BE NUMBERED IN THE CASUALTIES. We ARE fighting a very real fight against the world and I know that God is bigger than any other force that can come against us. I pray for your safety and courage to do what is RIGHT today and forever. I love you ALL and just remember that there are forces on both sides of the veil that are pulling for us and praying for our happiness.

Pray this week for the courage to stand for Christ and His Gospel.
